Harp. Lager hasn't been the same since the late 70s. I cant even get merry on the stuff they call lager today

Fuck me, Carling Premier? Really?! Favourite beer?!

Without doubt the best beer I have ever had was Westvleteren 12. Every sip was a joy. It's a shame that you pretty much have to go to the brewery to buy it, and that its pretty pricey.

Another lovely drop I had recently was Long Hammer IPA, an American pale ale.

But... If I had to have one pint before I died, it would be my regular drop, brewed 10 minutes up the road... Tribute. Which I'm really glad to see popping up on this bread quite a bit! The perfect beer for all occasions.

Re: Favourite lager/beer
Tuborg or Corona if I'm in a pub or bar.

Red wine or either rum or scotch if I'm at home.

Wetherspoons had an absolutely gorgeous draught ale in their world ale festival a few years ago called Flying Dutchman which was brewed by some fella who worked for Heineken and then moved to the States.

Erdinger is also a really good ale, I normally like lagers but that one is some kind of wheat beer or whatever and is excellent.

Far too many good ones out there at the moment, to narrow it down to a favourite.

That's why I'm turning into a fat bastard, and an alcoholic.

* Efes (Turkish)
* Castle Lager (South African)
* Estrella Galicia (Spain) - not the Estrella Damm they sell on tap here, don't actually know anywhere in UK that does it. Knowbody seems to know this when I tell them but every region in Spain produces it's own Estrella. I believe Estrella Damm is the Catalan offering.
